The Art of Problem Solving Exhibition / Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment / Events / The University of Newcastle, Australia
“At its heart, engineering is about using science to find creative, practical solutions.” – Queen Elizabeth II.
Engineers use everyday problems as their canvas for creative inventions that will help change the world. The Art of Problem Solving showcases some of UON’s most exciting engineering and computing innovations – like sensor gloves that teach sign language, a heart rate monitor for cows, a VR game to teach literacy, satellites that map the effects of climate change, a computer game you can control with your mind, and advanced nanomaterials that help with cancer detection.
