Lahore Technology Award Lecture by Prof. Dr. Nergis Mavalvala
ITU presents Lahore Technology Award Lecture
The Lahore Technology Award is an initiative of Information Technology University (ITU) to honor the achievements and contributions of entrepreneurs, academics and researchers in the field of science & technology.
This year the award will be presented to Prof. Dr. Nergis Mavalvala in recognition of her contributions in the observation of the Gravitational Waves. She is a Pakistani-American Professor of Astrophysics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. She has also been awarded the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship in 2010.
The award will be presented to Dr. Nergis Mavalvala at the 1st convocation of ITU on December 17, 2017. She will deliver the Lahore Technology Award Lecture according to the following schedule:
DATE: 17th December 2017
VENUE: 3rd Floor Auditorium, Arfa Software Technology Park, Ferozepur Road, Lahore
TIME: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
