Meaning Of Preposition :
The Noun or Pronoun which is utilized with a Preposition is called its Object. It is in the Accusative case and is said to be administered by the Preposition.
Another Definition Of Preposition:
A Preposition is a word placed before a noun or a pronoun to appear in what relation
The individual or thing meant by it remains as to something different.
1. There is a deer in the wilderness.
2. He is keen on perusing.
3. The creature bounced off the table.
Accordingly, in sentence 1, the noun wilderness is in the Accusative case, administered by the Preposition in.
In sentence 2, the word of shows the relation between the trait communicated by the modifier intrigued and perusing.
In sentence 3, the word off shows the relation between the activity communicated by the action word bounced and the table.The words in, in, off are here utilized as Prepositions.

(iii)Sometimes the object is placed first for accentuation; as,

- He is known all the world over.
