- Listening – 4 sections, 40 questions, 30 minutes
- Speaking – interview, 15 minutes

Multi-level. You get a score between 1 and 9. Half scores such as 6.5 are possible.IELTS test taker can get score of maximum between 1 to 9 bands and normally universities required 6.5 bands or 7 bands for student visa but for immigration more than 7 bands ,8 bands or 8.5 bands are required to get immigration. It would vary according to circustances and policies.
